If until now we thought that Sonim models are some of the most resistant phones in the world, or the Casio ones, well here’s the Swedish manufacturer Handheld Group offering us today a new ultra terminal. We’re talking about Nautiz X1, which you can admire below, promoted as “the most durable smartphone in the world”.
The terminal meets the MIL-STD-810G military standards for dropping from a height, vibration, humidity and extreme temperatures, which it will deal with successfully. In addition, this model has IP67 certification, so it is protected against dust and water (depth of 1 meter for 30 minutes). X1 is available with Android 4.0 ICS, or Windows Embedded Handheld 6.5. The product can be ordered now at a price of 699 euros or 899 euros, but it will not arrive on the market until January 2013.
The phone’s facilities include a 4-inch WVGA display, GSM or CDMA connectivity, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth, a dual core 1 GHz processor, a 5 megapixel camera with flash and 512 MB RAM. The phone also offers 2 GB internal memory, measuring 15 mm in thickness and weighs 180 grams. Handheld promises different options for the battery that will provide a working day in all conditions.
